Tracking Deregulation In The Trump Era

Brookings Institution
"Tracking deregulation in the Trump era"

There is a huge number of them.
Here are a few I found to be of greatest significance.

Clean Power Plan (Coal Plants)
Endangered Species Act: Rule Revisions
Designating undocumented immigrants for expedited removal
State "Empowerment Waivers" for the Affordable Care Act
Title X funding revision regarding clinics providing abortions
Waters of the U.S. Rule (WOTUS)
Religious and Moral Exemptions from Contraceptive Coverage Mandates
Fuel Economy Standards for Model Year 2022-2025 Passenger Vehicles
Methane and Waste Prevention Rule
Net Neutrality
Scientific Transparency Rule
Title IX Guidances on Transgender Student Rights

I urge you to follow the link above if you're interested. It has the dates and explanations of each. Some of changes are good. Some bad depending on your point of view.

  1. As like you I remember swimming in the Lehigh and getting covered in a layer of coal dust .The Northampton cement kilns created so much cement dust it looked like a snow storm.Who can forget the toxic red clouds of zinc being produced from the Palmerton zinc plant. This pollution is still world wide Paris agreement or not.

    1. Bethlehem & Hellertown weren't exactly enjoying fresh air coming from the steel operations back in those days either.

    2. This reminded me of when I visited my brother and he fired up his stock car in the garage. I didn't know whether to use my hands to cover my ears or wipe my watering eyes. Although it didn't seem to bother him. Maybe he was partially deaf and immune after years of racing :-)

    3. Spent many days at Bake Oven Knob in the 60's and 70's and on clear days you couldn't see the P.P.L. building and Martin Towers.I was last at Bake Oven in Oct. 2016 and the view was ultra clear.I clearly remember the smoke ect. from The Steel.Terrible !
