Florida: Go To Jail For Feeding The Homeless

When it comes to odd ball states next to Texas one of them just has to be Florida where RawStory reports a 90-year-old Florida man faces 60 days in jail for feeding the homeless. "Two ministers and a 90-year-old homeless advocate in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, face up to 60 days in jail and a $500 fine for violating a city ordinance that effectively outlaws sharing food with homeless people in public."

At one time Florida use to be the state to go after retiring. With all the batshit crazy stuff that goes on down there these days I highly doubt it to be a retirement paradise.

Too damn hot and humid in the summer to go out. It's also home to Eurycotis floridana. A 1.5" cockroach when inspired can squirt a putrid spray up to a foot Yeah I don't need to slip on my shoe in the morning and find that critter. Aside from all that there's been some pretty crazy headlines coming out of Florida. This is just one more example.

Other then being able to afford to live one day in the 'Conch Republic' (Key West) the wife & I have pretty much ruled out that oversized Peninsula.
