Nobody wins trade wars. Tariffs on imports is nothing more then a tax burden placed on consumers. A much better idea is an agreement between two nations based on quotas they both feel are fair to each another.

When the United States imposes sanctions on other countries it is designed to put a squeeze on citizens in the hopes of causing it's government to collapse through an uprising. The side effect creates huge amounts of refugees trying to flee them for both our borders and those of others. I'd much rather turning to our 'state department' for alternative solutions.
Just as each of our own neighbors we may not like living next door it's better then getting in a shoot out with them.
It’s been said, if trade tariffs are no good for a nation, why are those nations who now have tariffs placed on us doing so?
ReplyDeleteTrump’s stated goal is to create conditions where the nations who are ripping us off with tariffs, and who are ruining our economy, decide it’s time to take their tariffs OFF of American goods.
It’s very early in the transition but our currently announced tariffs are already working! To date, several nations have taken off their tariffs on our goods with 50 other nations already in contact with America to make changes to avoid being tariffed by us.
This move is truly for our nation’s national security going forward. That is, to become more self-sufficient by bringing production and jobs back here.
I fully support what’s going on.
