"I would say that the music industry has brought this on themselves... they're not nurturing and developing new talent, and if you don't do that, you're just going to get more old songs in the future," @tedgioia says, as streaming of current music declined in 2021. 🎵 pic.twitter.com/aQp6oW70PQ

So even the music corporations are buying up "old" music. Could it just be because people can't dance to the new stuff? Sing-a-long with it? Relate their lives to it in any way? Seems to me no matter how much naked twerking and high tech crap they put into them it can't polish a turd of a song. Tell me these "older" songs don't bring out much more intense happiness and enthusiasm then today's machined beat box garbage. Here's a excellent sampling of why the older tunes will forever remain more popular no matter which country you come from.
That's some damn good stuff!
Now you see why,
Hip hop is slop,
Rap is crap.
