Joe Paterno Outrage I Still Don't' Get It

My Comments About The Article AboveI've been down this road before and will try to be brief as possible by eliminating all the details how I arrived to my conclusions. It was reported to Joe. Joe then turned it into the university. This all boils down to what the university did or did not do after that. Could Joe have done more? Perhaps, but he sure didn't attempt to cover up Sandusky's behavior.

Two thirds of what Penn State is today both with it's football program and the campus itself is a result of Joe's accomplishments and personal donations. He was known for eliminating any player who's academics or behavior was less then the standards he set no matter how important the player. He sent more players to the NFL then lots of other coaches.


He could have left for the NFL where he could have received 10's the loot with none of the flack. Instead he gave his life to Penn State and this is how he's now rewarded. Think about it, how many NFL coaches get the blame for bad behavior from players and coaching staff. NONE!

Joe didn't sexually abuse anyone although listening to these haters you'd think he was the one who did. He never cheated on his family and led a clean life for himself. I truly believe these haters wouldn't be satisfied tearing down everything he ever helped build. That would include the library, stadium, other structures and the reputation of Penn State itself along with it's funding from football. This is all boils down to jealousy and hate period.

I'm not Penn State fan. Never seen a game in person nor on TV, but I know hatred and false accusations when I see them. This is another case of tribal like ignorance over facts. What a damn shame!

My Comments About The Article AboveYeah OK I love cats as much as anybody but lets put this in prospective. The cat sustained a instantaneous death. Although if he didn't want the cat there are far better alternatives then putting a bullet in the back of it's head, that's for sure.


Still I Don't See Any Of These Guys Going To Jail


If we're going to start locking people up I suppose the difference is these poor animals are for our sandwiches and meals. The cat was not. Now if this guy worked at a packing house he'd obviously be A-OK if cats were on the menu.

Strange how we look at things. Any who's ever been near a farm can tell you there's no nice way for an animal to die, no matter how humane.

My Comments About The Article AboveDon't get me wrong I appreciate the price I paid for gas itself has gone down over the last four quarters. I also understand UGI hasn't asked for a raise in it's distribution rates for nearly 20 years, but 17% in one shot.. HOLY HELL.. they sure made up for lost time!

For us on Social Security it means all the world. Next year's SS increase won't even cover my increased medical insurance costs let alone any of these ever increasing other expenses. There's only so much blood you can squeeze from a rock. Other then disconnecting my access to the internet, turning off my heat, disconnecting the TV cable and living in the dark there's nothing left to cut.

We've already drastically cut down on Christmas & birthday presents and put off repairs. I'm sure we're not the only ones.

My Comments About The Article AboveAlthough I'm not a big fan of Philip DeFranco the guy's got over 1.6 billion views from his 4.5 million some subscribers. He's been doing this since September 2006.

What's important to note is Philip has more viewers (higher ratings) then some shows on the cable networks and this cost YouTube ZERO DOLLARS to produce. If Philip were to decide he'd cross over to cable and take his business away from YouTube they'd be the worse off for it. Seems like a bonehead move to me.
