Everything's Upside Down
School Funding
Two of the local school districts around the Lehigh Valley are either putting in or replacing artificial turf on their athletic fields. Another is planning to purchase 600 iPads for their students. While they and some other districts at the same time are appealing for donations of tablets, paper and pencils. Talk about screwed up priorities while claiming to be underfunded. Which brings up another question I have. On one hand you have the new governor trying to tax the snot out of everything while districts are appearing to find creative ways of spending it before it arrives on their doorstep. Are these schools trying to set themselves up ahead of time to appear broke in order to game the new governor's efforts to seek additional ways to fund them?
United State's Worst Enemy Is Itself
Who the hell sends a letter to Iran telling them we don't plan on honoring our commitments in the future depending our election outcome? These are the very same bozos accusing Iran of not honoring it's commitments. For Christ sake guys.. get a mirror!
Slick Willie 2.0
Hillary and her email.. what a joke. I've stated my position on here before. She's as political as they come and I do not trust her. She damn well knows she could have several email accounts on one device. Who's kidding who. Although I find all of this funny in-so-much that it drives conservatives crazy it's no laughing matter. What if Dick Chaney did this? Is this really the best Democrats have to offer in 2016?
Gentrification
While government and their locally funded organizations claim to be helping residents they at the same time are making it unaffordable for them to stay.
FOX Most Trusted In Cable News
According to the latest Quinnipiac poll Fox News is the most trusted cable news source in the United States. Perhaps respondents think by Fox News allowing liberals to appear alongside three conservatives screaming at each other in a split screen is fair and balanced. I happen to not.
Racial Bias
Is worse as it's ever been. We see it with police shootings. Neighborhood shootings and on college campuses. You'd have a hard time convincing me congress members aren't racially biased against this president succeeding as well. Yes it's more subtle, but just as prevalent as ever.
Speaking Of Upside Down..
The U.S. Nor Anyone Else Isn't In Charge Of The World
Despite what you might have been told the United States is not the only pebble on the beach. We have every right to protect ourselves. That's for certain. However the right to self determination is not to be decided by the guy with the biggest guns. No doubt we can kill a lot of people, but ideas can never be destroyed. If there ever is to be peace it must come about as a result of either a winning over of ideology or acceptance of the others. Muslims, Arabs and countless others remain to this day despite the millions killed in countless wars over centuries. In thinking one culture or another reigns supreme I find no greater ignorance then this.
The top grossing film in 2014 was "American Sniper'. The very definition of war hero depends which side you're on. Think about that for a moment then reflect on #6 of the ten commandments. "Thou Shalt Not Kill". It didn't say :except when or under any other condition. Even the Quaran has three versus mentioning and prohibiting such. an act. Why then should this film and it's ideology be so widely accepted along with all those things I mentioned?
That's what makes...

Allentown's NIZ To Cost Another $200 Million+
March 10, 2015: Allentown planners OK plan for 200 apartments at Eighth and Walnut streets According to another article published last December "J.B. Reilly, president and CEO of City Center Investment Corp., wanted to add a residential portion to the Five City Center project and to expand his $180 million revolving line of credit to $265 million to fund the project, Traub said."
On the same day (March 10, 2015) the 33-story Landmark Tower building received Allentown planning approval. According to the Morning Call that's another $60 million.
Pennlive.com previously reported, Pennsylvania's current structural deficit is about $1.5 billion. In order to meet the shortfall "Governor Tom Corbett's administration took out a line of credit for $1.5 billion last September".
In my opinion it's foolish to forgo nearly $1 billion in future revenue (if not more taking into consideration the future Riverfront NIZ project needs) over the next several years. This while at the same time borrowing to meet the state's own financial shortfalls.
Some may argue it's an investment in our future hoping to produce greater revenue for the state.
Question is, should Pennsylvania taxpayers assume the risks involved with speculative commercial private development ventures?
OR..
Is this simply another example of government pork barrel spending?
Until 10 or 20 years rolls around there can be no financial certainty in all of this no matter who says or promises what.

Allentown Recycling Changes For 2015
There's been a couple of changes to Allentown's Trash & Recycling program.
Now residents can drop off electronics for free on certain dates and put trash out before 6:00pm.

Climate Change Man Made Does It Even Matter?
It doesn't make sense to continue using fossil fuels when alternative technologies are now available. No matter the argument fossil fuels are not environmentally friendly. Who cares whether it warms/cools or does nothing to the climate.
There's little argument that fossil fuels lead to pipeline, highway and rail accidents. Drilling and fracking carry their own associated risks. Many home fires are needlessly caused by the continued usage of fossil fuels. There's little argument that air, ground and water pollution can result from the continued use and exploitation of these fossil fuels.
Climate change shouldn't be of consideration when it comes to arguing for or against ending the use of fossil fuels. Either we can move forward or remain stubbornly like cavemen refusing to give up their ways because of one excuse or another.
We have two choices. One is to remain ignorant refusing to progress. The other to move forward.
I for one have no tolerance for anyone not allowing mankind to advance. We owe that to future generations just as those that came before us. Failing to do such is a condemnation of this generation..

Benjamin Netanyahu's Address To Congress
What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Imagine for one moment the blow back if Barack Obama spoke to the Knesset in Israel uninvited by Netanyahu about his foreign policies.
It would be as wrong as it was for Netanyahu to slap our elected leader in the face.. END OF STORY!
