I wasted 6 years on professional organ lessons and another 20 trying on my own. It took me that long to realize my brain is simply not wired that way. Quite frustrating really.
At least I learned one lesson. Not matter how strong one may hold onto a aspiration, it's not going always happen. Sometimes it's just better to detach rather then stress oneself out over a burning desire. That applies to so many other things in this life as well.
