The Morning Call-- "Allentown City Council President Ray O'Connell plans to announce his candidacy for mayor, a move that would make him the fifth candidate to enter the race.
O'Connell, 67, a Democrat, released invitations this week for a kick-off event on Jan. 22 at Jack's Slice restaurant at the Allentown Municipal Golf Course."
