Why Soldiers Aren't Getting Paid During Shutdown

Short Explanation...
Because Republicans don't want them to.

Mitch McConnell refused to allow vote on emergency bill to pay military families!

Congresswoman Betty McCollum (D-Minn.) spoke on the House Floor on Jan. 20, 2018 about her Pay Our Military Act, which ensures that our service members are paid during the Trump-GOP shutdown.

  1. Any non liberal would know the military is paid once a month, on the first, and the Chuckie Schumer Shutdown will be over before the first; every day equals one more Dem loss in the House and Senate come November, DACA is damned.

History is not on your side. After Republicans were accused for the 2013 shutdown they went on to become the majority party controlling both the Senate and House ever since.

Yeah but courtesy transportations to Dover has been suspended. Non issuing of the $100,000 death gratuity checks for widows.. Nor military families awaiting moving to a reassigned base. Stateside commissaries (depending how each are funded). Several other benefits will be suspended if the shutdown extends too long.

The Democrats created this bill to make sure none of this would happen. BUT I bet ya a dollar to a donut within hours Republicans will introduce this same bill and pass it off as theirs and enact it PDQ once they wash the Democrats stink off of it.

Wouldn't surprise me if you look close enough you'll see white-out on the lines where the names of these two women Democrats were when first introduced it yesterday in both the House and Senate.
